Robin started his expedition lifestyle about 15 years ago by building aluminum Land Cruisers for bush and travel purposes. His early career as an aluminum boat fabricator led to the eventual design and construction of The New Cruiser completed in 2001, in which he and Raenelle have travelled extensively. Currently Robin is a registered civil engineer in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. His combined expertise as a designer, builder, problem solver, and ultimately traveller brings much of the value in his articles on this site. |

Raenelle’s keen interest in the outdoors began at an early age during her childhood in South Africa. Her fascination with the natural world and commitment to science led her to pursue her career as a Biologist in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her free spirit and love for expedition travelling allows Raenelle to explore new countries, cultures, and people; not to mention the varied ecosystems, animal & plant communities. It’s a way to free the mind… |

Peter has spent a lifetime on the west coast of British Columbia, always not more than a few minutes from the ocean. He grew up swimming at his family lake property, doing the dog paddle before he could walk. A fish on land, Peter has always tended towards the ocean, whether it be refinishing a cedar-canvas canoe or navigating the San Jaun currents. Stay tuned for his excellent series on boating, travelling with a boat, and hopefully much more! |
